First black lines drawn on the patio and some exploratory digging to establish the location of the new inspection chamber.
Seemed straightforward enough.
Finished clearing the garden of 'stuff' this evening.
Went to the neighbours and those living 'over the back', only to be inofmred by the landlord that he owns all the land in the alley/access road and that it is only "by the good of his heart" that he allows the rest of us access.
Incredible self-denial and misconception.
he probably doesn't realise that my neighbour lived in the house for fifty years before sellign it on when his mother died, and people three doors down grew up there.
Why are some people deliberately awkward, and why bother to lie?
I expect he will call on the weekend and say that it's OK to put a skip on "his" land, thereby appearing to be of a considerate and helpful nature.
Do I bother to challenge his misguided presentation of ownership.
I think I will let him "decide" its OK first, thank him for n=being so generous of heart, and then ask for proof of land ownership.
It DOES matter, at least to everyone else who live sin the close.
Funny things, fibbers. His world must be so fragile...
I would hate to have to be so defensive, and to have to think through everything first so as to check for leaks.
