Things seem to be going quieter. The waters are settling.

For the first time in ages I find myself sitting here online with the possibility of being able to indulge in a little Foxxian transcription.

Have responded to the enquiry about the new headers for the website, and I think we've got them sorted now. I hate the word 'discography' and stll worse is 'gigography' but what are the alternatives?

Catalogue?

Live Archive?

Hmmm... words can be very unsatisfactory at times.

The PCC meeting on Monday was my first time in the chair and it went very well. The emotive subject of Parish Share was the main subject of a busy agenda, but both I and my colleague had prepared well enough. he's done the accounts for 2008, and we can now sign them off, ticking an important box in the eyes of the Diocese.

Their meeting next Tuesday gets ever closer, to grill us about the under-payment we have made recently.

I fundamentally struggle with this. Who do we serve as a parish church?

We serve our parishoners (sp??) and we serve God - we do not serve the Diocese.

I want to know the answers to some difficult questions - where does the COPM figure of £53,200 per vicar come from?

What model was used to determine that Southampton Deanery needs 22 vicars.

Etc. But thats all Ok, I am quietly confident that we will do OK.

Wife is well - undergoing some cardo-thingy tests next week and there will be some enquiries made about liver function too. But she's OK at the moment and has had a good week.

Thanks for asking.

So Foxx. I am seriously considering taking Vol I of the Media Archive with me to London on Monday for the DNA preview.
Booked tickets ot the Futurism Exhibition at the Tate for 3pm,and made arrangements to meet Her on the steps outside. Mad bat. Should be fun.

Can't even remember where i got to. Must be towards the end of 1978...
