Not woken up by LC until seven and then in bed till 8. That's unheard of!
And the best night's sleep I've had in aaaages, so felt refreshed and in a better mood than of late.
Swimming with Stan at 10, forgetting that the pool is closed for lessons until 10.30. But gave us a good few minutes just sitting in the cafe watching "all the nuvver people" doing their thing.
Home for lunch at 12 via the vets to pick up some flea treatment for Scabby cat.
We're late with the dose this month and his leaving nasty blobs and scratchings over all the beds.
Bitterly cold, far too unpleasant for a walk anywhere with the little ones, so instead I took them all with Kink over to an indoor play place leaving Trx to sleep.
aaaagh - scary thought! How EXPENSIVE???
But they all had a brilliant time and we spent over two hours there. Gave me and Kink a good opportunity for a chat over coffees. She's OK with the baby, but a bit frreaked out to be part of such a big family.
More into herself of course, which is cool. Boyfriends, sex, jealous friends, jobs, tax. Worries about her mother are less on her mind these days which can't be a bad thing. Rants about her sister. More cake. Free refills. Music, internet torrents, digital art. Boyfriends, sex. Digital Art, jobs....
We left holding hands.
I think I cooked tea. Can't remember. All a blur as I had to get Flo over to her swimmng with The Brownies for 7. Kink came too, and we read papers and drew pictures together while watching the fun in the pool.
200 girls between 5 and 15, and all the "Owls". Manic. But ouch… where to look sometimes.
is it so wrong
To be human after all
D
Dropped her back here knackered at 9. She wouldn't stop talking on the way home and its great to see her having such a good time with her mates too.
Then Kink inspired me to get over to Sainsbury's and do the week's Big Shop - but of course we forget the store closes at 10. Fantastic fun and a mad dash as we were still admiring the 5p loaves of bread when the bell rang for Last Orders five minutes before closing time. So we haven't got half the stuff but had a silly time, trying to weigh something on the scales that cost only a penny.
Nearest we could get was a cherry tomato for four pence.
So we've spent the last hour chatting over tea and bagels (four for 10pence) listing to Aphex Twin, Joss Stone (??) and Goldflaps.
Tired again.
The wheels on the bus
Go round and round
Round and round
